Training Facilitation & Data Collection Consultant for ATHIS

About the role

The consultant will support UN‑Habitat’s ATHIS project by facilitating training sessions, collecting and analysing data on social housing practices, and translating findings into actionable inputs for municipalities in São Paulo. The role combines field work, stakeholder engagement and the preparation of technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse existing ATHIS data, turning insights into evidence for capacity‑building activities.
• Conduct interviews, workshops and participatory data collection with municipal officials, community leaders and vulnerable groups.
• Facilitate training sessions in São José do Rio Preto, validate the training package and assist in producing a Learning Evaluation Report.
• Prepare and standardise templates, reports and a gender‑responsive prioritisation matrix for the project.
• Design and apply mechanisms to assess participants’ learning outcomes and compile results for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urbanism or a related field; postgraduate degree or four additional years of relevant experience.
• Minimum six years of experience in urban development, housing programmes or public policy in Brazil.
• Proven experience in research, data collection and analysis; familiarity with South‑South cooperation is desirable.
• Previous experience within the United Nations system or similar international organisations is an advantage.
