Workshop Technician – Multiple Levels

About the role

We are looking for a Workshop Technician to perform assembly, maintenance, testing and repair of subsea tools and equipment in our Macaé workshop. The role supports offshore operations by preparing, inspecting and certifying equipment to meet quality, safety and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, hydraulic and functional subsea tools according to procedures, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct pressure and functional testing, inspections and FAT/SIT in line with internal quality requirements.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment returned from offshore operations.
• Identify, report and document non‑conformities, damages or component failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance reports, work instructions and traceability records.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and workshop best practices.
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists and forklifts safely for material handling.
• Support hydraulic and pneumatic system assembly and assist during customer inspections and internal audits.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• Intermediate level of English (written and spoken).
• Experience with assembly or maintenance of oil & gas equipment, preferably subsea.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems up to 15,000 psi, including testing, flushing, and component repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of threads, tolerances, material properties and basic mathematics.
• Familiarity with FAT and SIT testing in workshop environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic rigging techniques and ability to load/unload equipment.
• Commitment, professional integrity and proactive attitude.

• Pressure testing and flushing procedures
• Component repair (pumps, accumulators, regulators, relief valves, directional control valves, pressure gauges, transducers)
• Reading technical drawings and hydraulic schematics
• FAT & SIT testing
• Use of manual and hydraulic workshop tools
• Overhead crane operation (certified preferred)
• Forklift operation (certified preferred)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
