Communication/PR Coordinator

About the role

The Communications/PR Coordinator will manage MSC Cruises’ brand reputation and promote its products through strategic public‑relations initiatives in Brazil. Acting as an internal consultant to senior leadership, the role ensures local communications align with global guidelines while meeting regional market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support crisis communications and issues management to protect the brand’s reputation, drafting statements and advising on response protocols.
• Assist the PR Lead in developing the annual communications plan, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and business objectives.
• Lead media relations, creating press releases, handling inquiries, and organizing press events and conferences.
• Plan, organize, and execute press trips and brand‑experience events both within Brazil and abroad, overseeing logistics and editorial coverage.
• Provide executive communication support, preparing positioning statements, speeches, talking points, and high‑complexity presentations for spokespeople and the Board.
• Develop internal communication strategies to boost employee engagement, manage proprietary channels, and support change‑communication projects.
• Consolidate performance indicators, prepare periodic reports, and recommend future communication strategies.
• Lead the external PR agency, acting as the primary point of contact.

Required profile

• Proven experience in crisis communications and issues management.
• Strong background in media relations and press‑trip coordination.
• Ability to advise senior leadership on strategic communication matters.
• Experience developing internal communication campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
• Track record of managing external agencies and delivering measurable results.
