Cyber Threat Hunter – Europe

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Threat Hunter to join the cyber security team of a large financial multinational. The role focuses on building automated, machine‑learning‑driven hunting capabilities and continuously assessing the company’s assets for compromise.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate agent‑based hunting systems that leverage automation and machine‑learning models to detect anomalies across a global environment.
• Develop, test, and refine hypothesis‑driven hunting rules to uncover sophisticated cyber attacks.
• Run continuous compromise assessments on corporate assets, identifying compromised systems or identities.
• Collaborate with security operations to integrate findings into detection and response processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• At least 4 years of dedicated threat‑hunting experience.
• Strong background working in large organisations (4 + years).
• Advanced or fluent professional English.
• Experience with AI/ML applied to security is a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SIEM platforms.
• EDR/XDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender and CrowdStrike Falcon.
• Automation and machine‑learning techniques for threat detection.
