Infrastructure Analyst – IT (Rio de Janeiro)

About the role

As an Infrastructure Analyst in the Information Technology department, you will ensure the stability, efficiency, and security of the IT infrastructure that supports both office and offshore production operations in Rio de Janeiro.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust IT infrastructure solutions tailored to support offshore production needs.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of essential services and systems.
• Manage servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms to optimise performance and resource utilisation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security protocols, handle incident responses, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to plan for capacity, upgrades, and equipment maintenance.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and changes to maintain clear and accessible technical records.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies specific to IT infrastructure.
• Support the development and deployment of new technologies that enhance operational efficiency and infrastructure resilience.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other IT team members and offshore production stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure environments, preferably within energy, offshore, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of network technologies, including routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of IT security best practices and standards, including ISO/IEC 27001.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues efficiently.
• Excellent organisational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across diverse teams and locations.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese is advantageous.
