Primary Years Head Teacher

About the role

RED HOUSE, a network of bilingual international schools in Brazil, is seeking a passionate Primary Years Head Teacher to lead classroom instruction and support student development. You will work within our inclusive, peace‑focused educational philosophy, delivering the curriculum to young learners while fostering an international mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and guide Primary Years students according to RED HOUSE’s pedagogical plan.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans and display them visibly in the classroom.
• Monitor and assess each student’s progress, collecting evidence and tailoring interventions.
• Develop improvement and engagement strategies in collaboration with coordinators.
• Implement differentiation strategies for learners with difficulties.
• Supervise the Teaching Assistant in adapting activities for special educational needs.
• Ensure student safety during all school activities and at entry/exit points.
• Observe children for health concerns and report behaviors to coordinators and families.
• Follow RED HOUSE policies on language, assessment, and teacher conduct.

Required profile

• Familiarity with RED HOUSE’s pedagogical proposal and grade‑specific learning expectations.
• Ability to analyze student evolution and design evidence‑based actions.
• Strong observational skills to identify health or behavioral issues.
• Commitment to inclusive, bilingual education and the school’s mission of peace and collaboration.
