Privacy Manager – Contracting Center of Excellence

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Privacy Manager to lead the negotiation and redlining of privacy and data‑protection clauses across a variety of agreements. The role will also design and launch a Contracting Center of Excellence (COE) to standardize privacy language, map global data flows, and accelerate contracting while reducing legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and redline privacy‑related clauses in customer, vendor, SaaS, and commercial contracts.
• Build and operationalize a COE that creates clause libraries, template agreements, SOPs, playbooks, and SLAs for privacy reviews.
• Map global and regional (US, EMEA, ASPAC, LATAM) contracting data flows.
• Conduct legal research on global privacy requirements and produce concise internal guidance.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Privacy, Legal, InfoSec, and business teams to reduce risk and speed up contracting.
• Escalate complex privacy contracting issues to senior leadership as needed.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in high‑value contract negotiations and supplier contracting.
• Proven ability to work independently, develop value‑adding solutions, and maintain strong ethical standards.
• Experience in MedTech or pharmaceutical sectors is a plus.
• Curious mindset with interest in creative problem‑solving.
• Preferred certification: CIPP (US, EU, or other regions).
