Regulatory Compliance Specialist – Brazil

About the role

Mastercard Brazil is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to strengthen its second‑line‑of‑defense framework in line with the Central Bank of Brazil’s regulatory requirements. The role will focus on building robust governance, implementing controls, and centralising regulatory reporting to ensure consistency and supervisory readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen the second line of defence structure and independence according to BCB Resolution 522/2025.
• Design, implement and monitor controls that meet new regulatory obligations, including governance, risk management and oversight.
• Enhance governance frameworks to improve accountability, transparency and interaction with supervisors.
• Centralise and standardise regulatory reporting for consistency, traceability and auditability.
• Identify control gaps, support remediation efforts and maintain evidence of compliance.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Product, Franchise and Operations teams to promote a sustainable compliance framework.

Required profile

• Proven experience in regulatory compliance, internal controls, risk governance or related second‑line functions.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian financial regulation, preferably within payments or financial services.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical controls and governance routines.
• Excellent organisational, documentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
