About the role

Bentham Science Publishers seeks qualified researchers to serve as Section Editors for the journal Letters in Drug Research. The role involves curating and managing a special (topical) issue that aligns with the editor’s area of expertise, while promoting high‑quality scholarly contributions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a detailed proposal for a special issue, outlining its relevance and potential contributors.
• Collaborate with co‑editors to organise the issue, coordinate with authors, and ensure a smooth editorial workflow.
• Invite and recruit contributors from diverse regions who have a strong publication record.
• Promote the special issue to maximise visibility and academic impact.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Valid Scopus ID (mandatory for shortlisting).
• Proven experience publishing guest‑edited thematic issues in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Established network of scholarly authors willing to contribute.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Familiarity with scientific publishing and peer‑review processes.
