Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Whirlpool’s Audit team is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead operational, financial and SOX audit engagements. The role involves planning audits, analysing risks, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve controls and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational, financial and SOX audit assignments from planning through final reporting.
• Prepare clear audit reports summarising findings and recommendations.
• Provide technical support and coaching to team members throughout audit phases.
• Analyse large data sets and apply data‑analytics techniques to assess risk and design audit procedures.
• Ensure audit conclusions are based on a thorough understanding of processes, controls and risks.
• Communicate audit results effectively and collaborate with management to develop mitigation plans.
• Lead or support advisory projects addressing identified risks.
• Foster team development and cohesion while managing multiple deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business field.
• Experience in public accounting or internal audit.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• SOX walkthroughs and control testing.
• Data‑analytics techniques for large data sets.
• Audit methodology and report writing.
