SEO Lead Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an SEO Lead Specialist to own the organic search practice across a multi‑client portfolio at Finch. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, guiding technical, content and authority initiatives while serving as the first escalation point for performance risks and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own end‑to‑end SEO strategy for technical, content and authority pillars, aligning work with client business outcomes.
• Act as the primary escalation point for performance risks, execution blockers, and expectation misalignments across the client portfolio.
• Partner with senior leadership to evolve Finch’s SEO service offering, establishing quality standards, frameworks and scalable delivery systems.
• Identify opportunities to expand accounts, improve efficiency and support client retention through proactive performance management and cross‑channel thinking.
• Execute high‑impact SEO tasks on priority accounts while mentoring SEO Specialists with standards, feedback and technical guidance.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on SEO experience, including 1–2 years in a lead, senior or strategic capacity.
• Proven track record managing multiple client accounts in an agency environment.
• Strong command of technical SEO, content strategy and authority/link‑building frameworks.
• Ability to prioritize and build SEO roadmaps tied to measurable business outcomes.

• SEO tools: Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog (or equivalents)
