Test Engineer – Flexible Pipe Testing for Oil & Gas

About the role

You will join an applied engineering laboratory that designs, plans and executes testing programmes for flexible pipes used in the oil & gas sector. The position combines hands‑on testing, data interpretation and technical reporting to support research, development and qualification activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and maintain test documentation such as procedures, specifications, plans and final reports.
• Plan, execute and oversee qualification tests of small, medium and large scale, ensuring compliance with standards like API 17B and Petrobras I‑ETs.
• Analyse test data, translate results into clear technical conclusions and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the design, specification and commissioning of test equipment, including instrumentation, hydraulic, thermal and pressure systems.
• Provide technical leadership during test planning, execution and troubleshooting, and support procurement of test materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in test engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on approach with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary, experimental environment.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental policies.
