Accounting Manager – São Paulo

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our São Paulo office to lead core accounting and controlling activities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with Brazilian direct taxes and supports the global finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed‑asset management and account analysis.
• Oversee the preparation and closing of financial statements in accordance with local regulations.
• Manage direct tax processes (IRPJ and CSLL), ensuring accurate SPED Contábil and ECF submissions.
• Perform variance and cost analysis, support budgeting and prepare ACT vs BGT reports.
• Coordinate a small team, allocate tasks, monitor performance and foster development.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and support audit requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and ensure proper use of SAP ERP.
• Provide ad‑hoc support on indirect tax matters when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and controlling, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial statement closing.
• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of Brazilian direct taxes (IRPJ, CSLL) and experience with SPED Contábil and ECF.
• Proven experience in variance, cost and budget analysis.
• Basic knowledge of indirect taxes.
• Intermediate English (B1 or higher) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent organization, planning and accountability.
