AI Engineer – Backend & AI Agents

About the role

Infosys Brazil is looking for an AI Engineer to join its Sao Paulo team. You will work on building AI‑driven backend services and intelligent agents that power client solutions across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable AI‑driven systems using micro‑service architecture.
• Implement AI agents with open‑source frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Integrate real‑time data pipelines and cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Ensure system reliability through logging, distributed tracing, and robust messaging queues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of backend development experience with Python, Java, Node.js or PySpark.
• Hands‑on experience building AI agents using LangChain, LangGraph or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of micro‑service patterns, REST, gRPC and event‑driven communication.
• Familiarity with messaging systems, Redis (cache, queues, pub/sub) and Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and optional certifications in Kubernetes, AWS or Azure.
