Backend Software Engineer – Treasury Team

About the role

VTEX is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join the Treasury Systems team. You will design and implement integrations that connect core platforms such as SAP, Zendesk, Rydoo, Hibob and other internal tools, ensuring data flows smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, cloud‑based backend solutions for Treasury processes.
• Design, build, and document RESTful APIs that integrate with SAP, Zendesk, Rydoo, Hibob and smaller systems.
• Collaborate with Treasury stakeholders and external consultants to define integration requirements.
• Work in a shared development environment, using Git and collaborative workflows.
• Identify system improvement opportunities and drive technical enhancements.
• Engage with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to translate business needs into robust solutions.

Required profile

• Strong backend development experience, especially with Python.
• Proficiency in building and documenting RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with serverless architectures and key AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code, preferably using Pulumi in Python projects.
• Solid Git skills and experience in collaborative development workflows.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to dive deep into systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ownership mentality from planning through delivery.
