Controllership Manager – Accounting & Liquidity

About the role

We are seeking a Controllership Manager to lead accounting, month‑end close, financial reporting, settlement and liquidity activities. The role ensures accurate financial results, maintains a strong control environment and partners closely with Finance, Treasury, Business, Credit Operations and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end and quarter‑end close deliverables, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and key‑account reviews.
• Ensure integrity and completeness of financial results related to card settlement and operational flows, identifying and resolving accounting issues promptly.
• Support preparation and review of financial statements, disclosures and management reporting for settlement and treasury activities.
• Lead accounting for settlement, custodial and liquidity operations, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting policies and local regulatory requirements.
• Prepare periodic financial reporting packages for senior management and coordinate quarterly updates for external auditors.
• Analyze new product constructs, define accounting and reporting requirements under Local GAAP and US GAAP, and support product launches.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, review audit requests, and monitor audit progress.
• Maintain and test spreadsheets used by Market Controllership to ensure compliance with spreadsheet control policies.
• Perform internal control self‑assessment, report on quarterly accounting governance and financial control dashboards.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and execute ad‑hoc financial reporting and analysis tasks.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Local GAAP and US GAAP accounting standards.
• Proven ability to work independently and solve problems without supervision.
• Excellent capacity to manage multiple time‑sensitive deliverables during month‑ and quarter‑end close.
• Effective partnership skills across Finance, Treasury, Business, Credit Operations and technology teams.
• Ability to quickly identify, escalate and resolve accounting issues.
