Financial Analyst – Financial Reporting (Canada Portfolio)

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst specialized in financial reporting to support the North America Planning and Controlling team, focusing on the Canada portfolio. The role will provide planning, analysis, and reporting insights while collaborating with business leaders across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly P&L analysis for Canada and assist North America, including close activities, variance analysis and clear explanations of results versus plan.
• Maintain budgeting and forecasting models, coordinate inputs and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Track performance through KPIs, dashboards and recurring reports, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver insights that support operational decisions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes to guarantee accurate financial statements.
• Prepare presentations and materials for senior leadership and regional/global reviews.
• Improve reporting tools, data structures and processes to increase efficiency and data quality.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis for strategic initiatives and cost/performance management.

Required profile

• University degree with 3–5 years of experience in FP&A or a similar finance role (insurance experience preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
• Legally eligible to work in Brazil.
