Full Stack Software Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

The Software Engineer will develop cross‑platform applications that embed AI into exploration and production workflows, covering the full E&P lifecycle. You will work within an integrated technical team of geoscientists and petroleum engineers, sharing domain expertise and engineering skills.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop and maintain AI‑enabled products while meeting project timelines.
• Manage code and artifacts in a configuration‑management system following established procedures.
• Apply usability principles and incorporate customer feedback.
• Evaluate alternative implementations to maximize product value and minimize technical debt.
• Validate software quality through systematic testing, automation and verification.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong object‑oriented design background.
• Residence in Brazil with advanced English and fluent Portuguese.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Proficiency in at least one modern OO language such as C++ or C#.
• Version control with GIT.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar tools.
• Agile and iterative development processes.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands‑on work with large language models (prompt engineering, function calling, RAG, fine‑tuning).
• Understanding of orchestration patterns, state management and observability for autonomous systems.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar).
• System design fundamentals: scalability, fault tolerance, caching, load balancing, distributed systems.
