Medical Information Specialist I – English & Spanish

About the role

Thermo Fisher is seeking a Medical Information Specialist I to join its Medical Communications team. The role serves as a critical link between new medicines and the healthcare professionals who need accurate, timely information. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to support a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to technical and medical information inquiries via phone, email, internet or mail for pharmaceutical and device products.
• Provide clinical trial details, after‑hours on‑call support, and product fulfillments as needed.
• Analyze questions, formulate concise evidence‑based answers using approved resources, and document interactions in designated databases.
• Identify, record, and triage adverse events and product complaints in compliance with organizational, client, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of project policies, SOPs, GCP, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong background in life sciences or related field with experience in medical information or pharmacovigilance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using medical information databases and documentation systems.
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines for adverse event reporting.
• Knowledge of clinical trial processes and pharmaceutical product information.
