Senior Software Development Engineer – Automotive IoT

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join its Connectivity, Technology, and Innovation team. You will work on a global architecture that connects automotive devices to cloud services, covering the full lifecycle from provisioning to operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for automotive IoT.
• Design cloud‑native microservices and serverless workflows.
• Maintain APIs, integrations, and support components for the telematics platform.
• Manage device onboarding/offboarding pipelines and secure authentication (certificates, TPM).
• Integrate embedded Linux devices with AWS IoT Core.
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, backend, devices, and connectivity.
• Support observability, monitoring, and operational flows.
• Collaborate with cloud, embedded, operations, and product teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience in object‑oriented programming, REST APIs and event‑driven architectures.
• Proficiency with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, IoT Core, CloudWatch, ECS, Kinesis, DynamoDB).
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Docker, Git, CI/CD and production observability.
• Solid knowledge of Linux (including embedded), MQTT, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Systems‑engineering mindset focused on reliability, ownership and end‑to‑end debugging.
• Advanced English for technical communication with international teams.
