Shopify Full Stack Developer (Remote)

About the role

Darkroom, a fast‑growing growth marketing firm, is looking for a remote Shopify Full Stack Developer to join its EST‑based team. The role focuses on building and maintaining high‑performance Shopify stores for a portfolio of e‑commerce brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop custom Shopify themes and functionalities from scratch, ensuring responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Integrate third‑party Shopify apps and build custom API connections to extend store capabilities.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate UI/UX mockups into functional web pages.
• Maintain, debug, and optimize existing Shopify sites for speed, scalability, SEO, and conversion rates.
• Handle backend tasks such as product catalog updates, customer data integrations, and payment gateway setups.
• Conduct thorough QA and testing before deployment.
• Stay current with Shopify trends, tools, and emerging technologies, proposing improvements where appropriate.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience developing Shopify websites.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with Shopify API integrations and custom app development.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Solid understanding of website optimization, SEO best practices, and analytics.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
