Technical Support Specialist – Financial Crime Solutions

About the role

As a Technical Support Specialist you will act as a Support Engineer for LexisNexis Risk Solutions, helping tier‑1 financial institutions resolve production issues across cloud, on‑premise and hybrid environments. You will investigate real‑world incidents, reproduce problems in test labs, and work closely with product and engineering teams to improve the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical investigations on complex production issues affecting financial compliance systems.
• Analyze application logs, configuration files, data feeds and database records to pinpoint root causes.
• Reproduce issues by building realistic test environments and configuring the software stack.
• Debug behavior across distributed systems, APIs, messaging middleware and databases.
• Collaborate with product teams to file high‑quality defect reports and influence product enhancements.
• Participate in Severity‑1 incident troubleshooting with customers and internal teams.
• Continuously expand expertise as new features, architectures and technologies are released.

Required profile

• Strong experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on Linux, Windows and cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of cloud‑native architectures and production‑level troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of Java‑based web applications, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SAML, OAuth and REST API flows.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language and ability to debug SQL queries.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, proprietary data formats and data mappers.
• Comfort with UNIX/Linux shell, Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Strong understanding of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, including schema design, indexing and performance tuning.
• Advanced fluency in English and Spanish.
