Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the Accounting, Fiscal (Tax), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. This senior leader acts as a strategic business consultant, aligning financial processes with corporate objectives and supporting decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax credit strategy and implement the Brazilian Tax Reform, ensuring compliance and business continuity.
• Manage relationships with external tax consultants and Big Four audit firms.
• Oversee all accounting routines (IFRS, CPCs, German GAAP), AP, AR, and treasury activities.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely implementation of recommendations.
• Optimize working capital, cash flow, and other operating results.
• Drive continuous process‑improvement initiatives and manage SLAs with the Shared Service Center in Lisbon.
• Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and internal policies.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting.
• Active CRC (CPA equivalent) certification.
• Solid experience in accounting and tax management, preferably with a Shared Service Center.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and tax filings (ECD, ECF).
• Previous exposure to Big Four auditors is desirable.
