Accounting Manager - Marketing

About the role

This position offers an experienced accounting professional the chance to lead financial operations within a fast‑paced marketing services environment in Brazil. You will combine hands‑on accounting leadership with strategic oversight, supporting multiple business units and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely completion.
• Oversee monthly close processes, including journal entries for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals and deferred costs.
• Manage and support accounting staff to meet reporting deadlines and close schedules.
• Collaborate with AR, AP, billing, payroll and finance teams to resolve inquiries and improve processes.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations and perform detailed GL analyses.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliation and support consolidation activities.
• Prepare audit schedules, assist with audit requests and support year‑end tax reporting.
• Maintain organized documentation and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support financial reporting packages, system uploads and ad‑hoc projects.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification or equivalent preferred.
• 5‑7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years managing teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with consolidations, intercompany eliminations and complex accounting environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with large ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Intacct or Maconomy.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, SUMIFS).
• Expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting and accounting research.
