Assistente de Carga Internacional

About the role

The International Cargo Assistant supports daily freight forwarding operations, ensuring smooth movement of shipments across borders. Working closely with customers, overseas agents, and internal teams, you will help coordinate and monitor cargo from origin to final delivery while maintaining compliance with logistics procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment processes and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate updates to customers and international agents via email and phone.
• Approve and monitor air and ocean documentation, including bills of lading.
• Follow up on data submissions through required logistics platforms.
• Track cargo movements, including transfers and transshipments, until delivery.
• Prepare pre‑alert notifications and review shipment documentation.
• Review, approve, and issue debit and credit notes when required.
• Update operational systems with shipment details and fees.

Required profile

• High school diploma (higher education preferred).
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple logistics tasks.
• Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
• Previous experience in freight forwarding or international logistics is desirable.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, dynamic, and collaborative attitude.
