Associate Director – Controller Brazil

About the role

Lilly is seeking an Associate Director – Controller for its Brazil affiliate. Reporting to the Brazil CFO, this senior finance leader will own the controllership function, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements, Lilly Global Finance Accounting Policies and SOX standards while acting as a trusted business partner to the leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, tax and financial reporting activities for the Brazil entity.
• Ensure compliance with Brazilian GAAP, IFRS (as applicable), tax regulations and statutory filing requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen the internal controls framework in line with SOX and Lilly GFAP.
• Oversee month‑end close, statutory reporting and financial disclosures.
• Identify, mitigate and remediate risks across controllership processes.
• Manage tax planning, compliance and audit coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with the Brazil CFO and leadership team to provide financial insights and governance for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance and controllership functions in a complex, regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards, tax law and SOX compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and inspire high‑performing finance teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
