Associate Medical Editor - Portuguese (Brazil) (MD/DO)

About the role

AMBOSS is looking for a committed physician to join its medical editorial team and support the production of a reliable medical resource for students worldwide. The Associate Medical Editor works on content for international markets such as Brazil, applying medical knowledge and experience to help improve medical education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, write and review new medical content for medical students, working closely with other physicians
• Review and optimize existing content on the platform
• Collaborate with illustrators to create new flowcharts and illustrations
• Incorporate user feedback and new evidence-based guidelines to keep content current
• Work with marketing and product teams to optimize the platform and interface for Brazilian students
• Become an expert in the content management system used to build articles and questions (no tech background required)

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (graduation within 3 years preferred)
• Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker
• Deep understanding of the Brazilian medical education landscape, including exam formats and learning challenges
• Experience taking a centralized medical exam (e.g. ENAMED, USMLE, IFOM, PLAB/UKMLA, AMC)
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication
• Full-time or near-full-time availability, based in Brazil or Germany

Required skills

• Self-driven curiosity and entrepreneurial, adaptive mindset
• Ability to explain complex medical topics clearly
• Research and writing in medical literature
• Technical literacy (AI tools, data-driven decisions or basic programming) is a strong plus
• Current or previous AMBOSS user and experience creating educational content are a plus
