Internal Medical Translator - Korean to English

About the role

IQVIA Language Solutions, a language solutions provider for the life sciences industry, is hiring an Internal Medical Translator (Korean to English) for a home-based position in Brazil. The translator works with the IQVIA Translations Services team to deliver accurate, timely translations of life sciences content.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret written material linguistically and culturally, preserving the original structure and style while keeping facts and ideas accurate
• Research industry-specific terminology
• Build strong relationships with the IQVIA Translations Services team and help update or improve glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides and other internal assets
• Identify gaps in instructions or issues affecting client service
• Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling and punctuation

Required profile

• Native English speaker and fluent Korean speaker
• At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing and editing life sciences content, including clinical trial documents
• A tertiary or university degree in translation or linguistics and at least 3 years of translation experience, or no degree and at least 5 years of translation experience

Required skills

• Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools
• Ability to research industry-specific terminology
• Strong commitment to quality and accuracy, and good problem-solving skills
