AW139 Captain - Offshore Helicopter Operations

About the role

Bristow is looking for an AW139 Captain based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the company's aircraft, complying with operational procedures, regulatory requirements and company standards, and conducting all phases of flight, including operations away from the main operating base.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the assigned aircraft safely and efficiently, in line with Bristow standards and all applicable regulations
• Keep safety and customer service at the forefront of everything done, inside and outside the aircraft
• Maintain situational awareness across the operational region regarding weather, NOTAMs, sea state and customer offshore facility status
• Manage passenger movements, aircraft movements, briefings and baggage loading
• Complete flight planning paperwork, preflight, fueling and manifest oversight
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, including journey logs, personal flight and duty records and aircraft technical logbook entries
• Report aircraft mechanical irregularities in the technical logs and ensure the aircraft is airworthy before, during and after every flight
• Communicate professionally with customers and stay up to date on Bristow operational and safety procedures
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Lead Pilot or Director of Operations

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Captain in offshore helicopter operations, preferably on the AW139
• 3,000 total flight hours, 1,500 as Pilot-in-Command and 1,200 on multi-engine helicopters
• Valid ANAC AW139 type rating
• ICAO English level 4 or higher preferred
• Valid U.S. visa
