Back Office Analyst - KYC/KYB and Fraud Prevention

About the role

Watu, a microfinance lender focused on financing and mobility across borders, is hiring a Back Office Analyst in São Paulo, Brazil. The role covers KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) checks, document and contract review, due diligence and fraud prevention, with a history of work in Compliance and Risk and a focus on improving client onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC/KYB checks for individuals and legal entities, validate registration data, review contracts and flag fraud indicators
• Carry out due diligence on clients, dealers and partners, keeping records up to date
• Assess operational, fraud and compliance risks and work with Risk, Compliance and Collections teams
• Maintain accurate customer records in the system and support data extraction and reporting
• Audit documents and customer files and keep a secure, compliant document management system
• Train sales teams on documentation requirements, KYC/KYB standards and data quality

Required profile

• Complete degree
• Solid experience in back office operations, registrations and/or fraud prevention
• History of work in Compliance and Risk areas
• Fluent English

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excel and registration management systems and Google tools
• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL and BI
