Consultant – ATHIS Training Facilitation (Campinas)

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a consultant to facilitate the ATHIS (Assistência Técnica de Habitação de Interesse Social) training in Campinas, Brazil. The consultant will work for five months, collaborating closely with UN‑Habitat’s operational and technical teams and reporting to the Head of the Brazil Office.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of the initial premises and identify priority thematic areas for the ATHIS training plan, based on the project’s capacity needs assessment.
• Design a comprehensive training plan and create related materials for a three‑module ATHIS course targeting municipal officials and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with UN‑Habitat, the São Paulo Council of Architecture and Urbanism (CAU/SP) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Deliver training sessions in Campinas and provide ongoing technical assistance as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in training facilitation or capacity‑building activities related to social housing or urban development.
• Ability to work closely with UN‑Habitat operational and technical teams and to report to senior management.
• Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English to engage municipal officials and project partners.
