Director – Brazil Financial Services & Virtual Assets

About the role

Coins, a leading crypto brand in the Philippines, is expanding its governance team in Brazil. The Director will support the Brazil entity by overseeing governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, operational integrity, and technology oversight in line with Brazilian financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight and governance to senior management and the board.
• Participate in board and committee meetings, reviewing operational, compliance, financial, and risk matters.
• Ensure effective internal controls, policies, and governance frameworks are in place.
• Support regulatory engagement with Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) and COAF, aligning with local expectations.
• Promote ethical conduct, transparency, and accountability across the organization.
• Maintain independence and avoid conflicts of interest while performing board duties.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in at least one functional area: Compliance & AML/CFT, Risk & Internal Controls, or Operations & Financial Integrity.
• Proven experience in governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management for financial institutions or VASPs.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and report directly to the board.
• Strong understanding of Brazilian regulatory requirements (BCB, COAF).
