Director Software Engineer (Hands-On) – Clients

About the role

This senior position combines strategic technical leadership with hands‑on development. Based in Brazil, you will shape the engineering vision for complex, high‑impact platforms that serve enterprise customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of critical products, ensuring scalability, reliability and engineering excellence.
• Design and develop complex services with a focus on long‑term sustainability.
• Define and evolve architectural strategies across multiple engineering teams.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data and other stakeholders to prioritize initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Mentor engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Drive modernization of existing systems to improve performance and developer experience.
• Oversee secure integrations with external APIs and platforms.
• Promote operational excellence through monitoring, incident management and reliability best practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading engineering teams in product‑focused environments.
• Proven track record designing and scaling distributed systems and modern web applications.
• Strong architectural background with deep knowledge of cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop high‑performing technical teams.
