Executive Assistant to the Vice President and CFO

About the role

The New Development Bank is seeking a senior‑level Executive Assistant to support its Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Based at the NDB headquarters in Shanghai, the role offers exposure to development banking, strategic decision‑making, and multilateral engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide research, analytical and operational support to the VP and CFO for strategy preparation and execution.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships across the Bank.
• Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with all departments to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in agenda preparation, follow‑up on management decisions, and ensure timely input collection for decision‑making.
• Draft memos, correspondence, reports, speeches and speaking notes aligned with the Bank’s objectives.
• Develop key documents and support the VP and CFO in various ad‑hoc duties.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field from a reputable university.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in multilateral development banks, national governments, commercial banks, financial institutions or top‑tier think tanks.
• Hands‑on experience in corporate finance, investment banking, treasury, portfolio management, budgeting or accounting.
• Experience working with multilateral development banks and government authorities of member countries is highly desirable.
