Field Agent – UN‑Habitat Project in Mauá, Brazil

About the role

The Field Agent will support the implementation of the Periferia Viva – Jardim Zaíra/Chafick‑Macuco project in Mauá, Brazil. Working under the Head of the Brazil Office, the consultant will carry out household surveys, engage with local communities and ensure high‑quality data collection for UN‑Habitat.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct household field surveys using predefined socioeconomic questionnaires and follow UN‑Habitat protocols.
• Maintain accurate, standardized data records and ensure ethical data collection.
• Promote the programme within target communities to foster engagement and awareness.
• Participate in training sessions, attend project meetings and support field activities and community events.
• Prepare and submit monthly activity reports and other required documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent technical experience) and at least two years of experience in research, data collection or interviews in Brazil, preferably in vulnerable communities.
• Professionalism, strong planning and organizational skills, effective communication, and ability to work in multicultural, challenging environments.
