Finance Manager – FP&A & Accounting

About the role

SuperSummary is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Finance Manager to become the financial backbone of its fast‑growing EdTech SaaS business. Reporting to the CEO and partnering with the VP of Operations, you will lead both financial planning & analysis and the full accounting function.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the annual budget and rolling revenue forecasts, translating strategy into financial models.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis, surfacing insights that drive action.
• Track and report SaaS‑specific metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, CAC, payback period and net dollar retention.
• Prepare leadership financial reporting and dashboards that tell a clear story.
• Own the month‑end close, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and billing operations using ChargeBee and Stripe.
• Manage the bookkeeper and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Evaluate, automate and modernize financial tools and workflows, including AI‑assisted reconciliation.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or running the finance function in a SaaS or subscription‑based business.
• Deep understanding of consumer subscription economics, including deferred revenue, chargebacks and key performance metrics.
• Comfortable presenting variance analysis to senior leadership and influencing decisions.
• Hands‑on mindset with the ability to own both strategic FP&A and day‑to‑day accounting tasks.
