General Manager – Brazil (Energy Services)

About the role

Petra Group is seeking a transformational General Manager to lead and expand a well-established operation in the energy services sector in Brazil. This is a growth mandate, not a maintenance role: the executive takes full ownership of the country P&L, drives operational excellence, strengthens culture and leads strategic expansion, with the goal of doubling revenue within three years while keeping safety and performance standards uncompromising.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L responsibility for the country operation, with a business plan covering sustainable growth, profitability and market share expansion
• Act as senior representative with key clients, partners, regulators and industry stakeholders
• Lead the HSE culture and oversee multi-site operations delivered on time, on budget and with operational excellence
• Implement global best practices adapted to local realities, and drive process optimization, cost efficiency and innovation
• Develop and mentor high-performing teams, build a leadership pipeline and succession plan, and strengthen accountability, collaboration and high performance
• Ensure transparent communication across all levels and work toward a zero-incident mindset

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector, with a proven track record in senior leadership roles with direct P&L ownership
• Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary teams in demanding environments
• Degree in engineering (petroleum, mechanical or related), geosciences, business administration or similar; MBA or executive education is a strong plus
• Full fluency in English is mandatory; Portuguese fluency is required but not nationality
• Strategic mindset, commercial acumen, decisive and inspirational leadership, results orientation, resilience under pressure and strong ethics
