About the role

This senior finance position is based in Brazil and sits at the core of global financial integrity. The role combines technical accounting expertise with governance and compliance oversight, ensuring accurate reporting of restricted donations and alignment with donor intent.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end financial tracking, analysis, and reporting of restricted donations in partnership with fundraising teams.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve a global internal controls framework, reviewing procurement, segregation of duties, and operational workflows.
• Lead financial compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including annual tax filings (Brazil, US and other regions), vendor verification, and regulatory documentation.
• Develop and update global financial policies, identify automation opportunities, and embed controls with regional accounting teams.
• Provide financial analysis support, peer‑review outputs, and communicate financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
• Support the Vice Presidency of Finance in investment strategy oversight and contribute to organizational financial governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance, accounting, economics or related fields; postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of Brazilian accounting and financial compliance, with exposure to international practices.
• Strong command of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel as needed.
