Head of Finance & Operations

About the role

You will own all non‑technical functions of a deep‑tech robotics startup, reporting directly to the founder. The position is a founding‑team role with a clear path to CFO as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Finance: Build and maintain the financial model, budget, cash‑flow forecasts and runway planning.
• Fundraising: Prepare investor materials, set up the data room, manage diligence and support the raise from start to close.
• Back office: Oversee accounting, tax and compliance across Brazil and Portugal, manage banking, payments and keep the corporate and cap‑table structure clean.
• People & HR: Lead hiring operations, onboarding, payroll, contracts and benefits as the team grows.
• Business development: Assist the founder with pipeline, partnership negotiations and commercial proposals.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital or finance/operations at a high‑growth startup.
• Undergraduate engineering degree from a top Brazilian university (e.g., ITA, IME, Poli‑USP, Unicamp).
• MBA or equivalent graduate degree from a top international program.
• Strong financial‑modeling capability and an ownership mindset.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Based in São Paulo or willing to relocate; role is fully on‑site.
