Head Teacher – Primary Division (Grades 3‑5)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head Teacher for our Primary Division (Grades 3‑5) at Avenues São Paulo. The role leads curriculum development and delivery across multiple subjects, fostering a vibrant, inquiry‑based learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and teach interdisciplinary curriculum that engages all learners and cultivates 21st‑century skills.
• Monitor and ensure achievement of grade‑level learning outcomes, differentiating instruction to meet individual needs.
• Create a supportive, joyful classroom atmosphere that encourages student belonging and academic rigor.
• Collaborate daily with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practice and school culture.
• Build strong relationships with students, uphold a safe and respectful environment, and communicate effectively with parents.

Required profile

• Proven teaching experience in Grades 3‑5 with a record of student learning growth.
• Deep knowledge of balanced literacy instruction.
• Highly effective collaborator who listens, contributes, and works toward shared goals.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adaptability to change.
• Graduate degree in education, teaching or a related field.
