LATAM Accountant – Remote

About the role

Sycomp is seeking a detail‑oriented LATAM Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple Latin American entities, primarily Brazil. The role is fully remote and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full month‑end close process for assigned LATAM entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance‑sheet and intercompany accounts.
• Review and validate transactions across AP, AR, billing, and financial operations.
• Maintain alignment between Oracle and local statutory books.
• Assist internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Execute tax accounting activities and support statutory compliance across LATAM.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales Operations, Tax, Legal, and external providers.

Required profile

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and LATAM tax/statutory compliance (Brazil preferred).
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP system.
• Advanced Excel.
