LATAM Finance Controller

About the role

The LATAM Finance Controller will lead finance operations for Ventmear Brasil, a licensed online betting and gaming platform in Brazil. This senior position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on technical execution, requiring deep expertise in accounting, tax, and treasury within a fast‑growing regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee local accounting and coordinate with external accounting firms.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure full compliance.
• Manage US GAAP accounting using Oracle, translating local books accurately.
• Analyze budget assumptions, explain variances, and monitor forecasts.
• Ensure tax compliance in partnership with the global Tax team and identify optimization opportunities.
• Review intercompany agreements, transfer pricing policies, and marketing budgets.
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement compliance, and payment cycles, especially for marketing agencies and affiliates.
• Direct treasury activities, including cash management, low‑risk investments, and PSP relationships to optimise liquidity.
• Maintain adherence to regulatory financial obligations and internal controls.

• Strong technical expertise in accounting, tax, and finance with a proactive learning mindset.
• High analytical ability focused on root‑cause identification and problem solving.
• Self‑driven with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and accountability.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
• Willingness to develop deep knowledge of the betting and sports‑gaming industry.
• Fluent English communication skills.
