Operations and Compliance Manager

About the role

World Animal Protection is seeking an Operations and Compliance Manager to act as the single point of oversight for its global compliance framework and to lead operations and governance for the Brazil entity. The role requires turning complex, multi‑jurisdictional requirements into clear, actionable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight of the global compliance framework, including obligation registers, compliance calendars and assurance reporting.
• Lead operations and governance activities for the Brazil entity, coordinating statutory reporting and external audits across multiple entities.

Required profile

• Senior experience in operations, compliance, governance or finance, preferably within an international non‑profit.
• Proven track record of building and managing a multi‑country compliance framework.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian labour, fiscal, regulatory and data‑protection law.
• Solid financial management experience, including budgeting, cash‑flow and statutory reporting.
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or equivalent experience.
• Fluent Portuguese and advanced English, both written and spoken.
