Regional Controller – Brazil

About the role

Team Liquid is seeking a Regional Controller to lead Brazil accounting operations end‑to‑end. You will own the general ledger, manage the financial close, and ensure compliance with Brazilian regulations while collaborating with global finance teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Brazil general ledger and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage month‑end, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, including timelines and issue resolution.
• Prepare and review financial statements, identifying gaps or inconsistencies.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, AP aging, payment cycles, payroll, commissions, reimbursements, and expense processing.
• Handle inventory accounting, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Brazilian tax regulations, GAAP, and internal controls.
• Coordinate statutory reporting and local government filings.
• Maintain audit‑ready accounting data and support local audits.
• Monitor cash flow and contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
• Work with external accounting firms and provide guidance to junior team members.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience in Brazil, including month‑end close and statutory reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Active CRC registration.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations and GAAP.
• Experience in a multinational environment and with external advisors.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
