Regulatory Supervision Director

About the role

The Regulatory Supervision Director will lead Visa’s interaction with the Central Bank of Brazil, overseeing supervisory and regulatory risk management across the Latin America and Caribbean region. Reporting to the RRG Senior Director for LAC, the role partners with Risk, Government Affairs, Legal, Compliance and Internal Controls to align supervision with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Visa’s supervisory engagement model with the Central Bank of Brazil.
• Lead risk governance activities, including in‑market risk committees and regulatory reporting.
• Identify, track, and respond to supervisory requirements, regulatory inquiries, and audit requests.
• Support license applications, regulatory audits, and the establishment of risk frameworks for regulated entities in Brazil.
• Provide metrics, presentations, and reporting to senior management on regulatory initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in regulatory supervision, risk governance, or compliance within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with Government Affairs, Legal, Compliance and Internal Controls.
• Strong strategic advisory skills for senior business leaders and risk heads.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Brazil’s regulatory landscape and supervisory processes.
• Expertise in risk management frameworks and regulatory reporting.
• Experience managing relationships with central banks and regulatory authorities.
