Secondary Spanish Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Spanish Teacher to join our Modern Foreign Languages department from July 2026. The role involves delivering Spanish across the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), fostering language acquisition and intercultural understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Spanish lessons for MYP and DP classes.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Use assessment data to inform teaching and support student progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and across the school.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
• Participate in the broader life of the school, including meetings, events and professional development.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification with a specialisation in Spanish Language and Literature, Spanish Language Acquisition or a related field.
• Minimum two years of successful teaching experience, preferably in an international school.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) and native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the International Baccalaureate philosophy and practices, especially MYP and DP.
• Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
