Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead a range of accounting activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, corporate policies and audit requirements. Reporting to the Chief of Finance, you will partner with finance, HR and other stakeholders to drive accurate financial reporting and process improvements in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day accounting tasks including accounts payable, banking, fixed assets and general ledger entries.
• Lead full‑cycle month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and expense recognition.
• Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with HR to verify payroll, commissions and tax reporting.
• Develop and implement new accounting procedures and process improvements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑management activities.
• Prepare and file non‑income tax returns such as sales, use and commercial activity taxes.
• Assist with financial reporting and account reconciliations as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience covering AP, AR, general accounting and reconciliations.
• Audit experience and familiarity with month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close cycles.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of US GAAP
