Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

This remote position is for a Senior Accounting Manager who will own end‑to‑end accounting operations for U.S.-based clients. The role blends hands‑on accounting execution with client‑facing responsibilities, supporting fast‑paced, startup‑style environments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense tracking, and vendor/client financial interactions.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of financial outputs.
• Support startup‑style accounting needs, balancing best practices with operational agility.
• Perform financial analysis and judgment in less structured environments while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Integrate and optimize tools connected to QuickBooks Online to streamline workflows.
• Stay up to date with emerging financial technologies, including automation and AI applications.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S.-based companies; CPA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience in client‑facing or stakeholder‑management roles, ideally in public accounting or service environments.
• Familiarity with startup accounting practices and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote‑first structure.
