Senior Data Engineer – Product Development

About the role

3M is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the modernization of product development data capture, integration, and usage. You will work with global teams to build AI‑ready data foundations that accelerate innovation and support strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for collecting and processing business‑critical product development data.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python, Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Snowflake, or similar tools.
• Integrate data across enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms while ensuring data quality and governance.
• Collaborate with cross‑divisional teams to define, develop, and deploy solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Lead intellectual property creation and protection for innovative data solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, system integration, or data architecture.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data quality and governance.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Advanced English communication skills.
