Senior Field Technician – Telecommunications Equipment

About the role

Motorola Solutions is hiring a Senior Field Technician in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to support critical mission activities related to the installation and replacement of parts, components and modules in telecommunications equipment. The role involves hands-on field work, direct client interaction and travel of more than 50%.

Key responsibilities

• Install and replace parts, components and modules in telecommunications equipment.
• Configure and parameterize mobile and portable radios according to company communication standards.
• Implement and configure radio frequency (RF) equipment, including radio link systems and associated infrastructure.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance routines on RF systems and infrastructure.
• Provide high-quality field technical support, resolving faults directly with clients.
• Handle service requests, perform technical interfaces and escalate them to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Prepare detailed technical reports on services, maintenance and installations, including As-Built documentation.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.
• Regular registration with the Federal Council of Industrial Technicians (CFT).
• Previous experience in field technical support or RF system implementation.
• Practical experience installing and configuring fixed, mobile or portable communication radios.
• Experience working at heights and a valid NR-35 certification.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including RF sites and towers.
• Installation and configuration of communication radios.
